Inspection &
Condition Report
Before any CMS motorhome is listed at auction, it goes through a documented 53-point inspection. The findings form the condition report that accompanies every lot — giving dealers what they need to bid with confidence, or walk away without regret.
We take disclosure seriously for a straightforward commercial reason: a dealer who buys a vehicle and finds an undisclosed fault doesn't buy from us again.
WHAT THE INSPECTION COVERS
Six categories, all documented
Provenance & paperwork
- Full provenance check — finance, write-off, stolen, scrapped, at-risk and mileage discrepancy.
- MOT status, V5 document and VIN number confirmed.
Mechanical & fluids
- Oil, coolant, brake fluid — checked and topped up.
- Engine bay, brake pedal, handbrake, static gear selection.
- Steering and engine noise noted.
Exterior
- Bodywork, decals, sealant check.
- Windscreen, alloys, tyres, wipers, exterior lighting.
- Electric step, self-levelling, pop top and canvas where applicable.
Interior & habitation
- Layout and interior condition, damage recorded.
- Electrics, control panel, boiler assessed.
- Smoke and odour noted, cushions and manuals present.
Damp — tested with professional equipment
- Roof, side walls, floor, windows and seams.
- Specific readings recorded by area.
- Active vs historic noted where determinable — fully disclosed.
Service history
- Engine service history reviewed.
- Cambelt status confirmed where applicable.
- Habitation service history noted where available.
Road test — minimum 10 minutes

HOW TO ACCESS CONDITION REPORTS
Every registered dealer gets the full condition report and video appraisal around ten days before each auction — the same detail you'd get inspecting the vehicle in person, before the wider market has seen it.
