We source from private sellers across the UK, appraise and inspect every unit on video, and list exclusively through BCA Nottingham. Nothing is retained for retail — everything goes to auction.
OUR STORY
Who we are
CMS Auctions began in 2007 as a father-and-son business — Shane and Neil Malpass, sourcing motorhomes and earning the trade's trust one dealer at a time. Nearly two decades on, it supplies dealers right across the UK — over 1,200 vehicles a year through BCA Nottingham.
Much of that growth comes down to Shane pushing the business to do things properly. In a trade where buying stock too often meant buying blind, he fought to make CMS transparent — proper condition reports, full CMS video appraisals, honest disclosure on every unit, problems and all. Because we know the trade from the inside, we build the business around what dealers actually need, not what's easiest for us.
We reach just about any corner of the country for good stock — so dealers get steady, reliable supply without the legwork.
None of it works without the right people — and some of this team have been here nearly twenty years. Everything runs on reputation, built one deal at a time, and we protect it in every deal we do.

Shane Malpass
Managing Director
Shane grew up in the motorhome trade and founded CMS with his father Neil in 2007. Nearly two decades on, he's the one who set the inspection and disclosure standards the business runs on — the reason dealers can buy on detail, not guesswork.
Daryl Mills
Auction Manager
Daryl runs every motorhome through the CMS pipeline, from sourcing to auction listing. He's the one making sure the video appraisal and condition report on each unit are accurate and ready for dealers before every sale.
John Sutton
Dealer Account Manager
John is the primary contact for dealers, and the one who builds the relationships — working alongside dealers as they grow, and backing our partners through their sales journey. Registration, BCA Gold card and stock queries — and he's on hand throughout every sale. For anything on specific lots or where to take your business next, he's your first call.

In-house vehicle preparation
Every motorhome we source is already damp tested, driven, and assessed for condition, with technical checks and repairs handled by trusted mechanics and specialists.
Now we're bringing that work in-house. We're building our own custom specialist facility to speed it all up and give us even tighter control over the quality and accountability of every unit that reaches auction.

TRANSPARENCY AS STANDARD
Our 53-point inspection
Every CMS motorhome goes through a documented 53-point inspection covering provenance, mechanical condition, exterior, interior, habitation,service history, and a minimum 10-minute road test. Findings are recorded in the condition report attached to every lot.
